Z-5000 Character Generator

This unit is in a rack-mountable chassis (2RU). It can support a full local weather station as well as web-based weather and news information services. Video output options are HDMI, baseband (RS-170A), HD-SDI and IP Transport (RTSP). Ideal for rack-mounted, professional environment with power conditioning and firewall protection. Supports both IP-based remote editing/TRIS remote operation as well as local editing via keyboard & monitor.

Z-6000 Character Generator

This unit is in a rack-mountable chassis (3RU). It can support a full local weather station as well as web-based weather and news information services. Video output options are HDMI, HD-SDI and IP Transport (RTSP). CG crawl, text and graphics can be superimposed on incoming HD-SDI and IP Transport (RTSP) video signals. Requires a rack-mounted, professional environment with power conditioning and firewall protection. Supports both IP-based remote editing with HTML5 authoring and template-based operation distributed via web-service.

CG out of warranty Support Contract

This is for out-of-warranty CG units. You can sign up for a year of support for $250 or pay a $30 per-incident fee. Payment can be made here online and support will start immediately for out of warranty issues.

Z-5000-nuc Character Generator

This unit is in a micro-controller chassis (4”x6”x2”) and only has baseband (RS-170A) video output option. It can not host a local weather station but can pull web-based weather and news information services. Ideal for small, non-rack-mounted installs and MATV, SMATV, Corporate Information & digital signage applications. Supports IP-based remote editing/TRIS remote operation, no local keyboard/monitor

Texscan Remote Information Server (TRIS) 

This package will remotely program and control multiple Z-5000 CG units. It also allows multiple users to control the CGs on the network or to all remotely control a single unit. Standard license is for a 5-user license.

Hyper-Local Weather Station

Weather Stations are meteorological systems designed to be a "user friendly" solution for data storage and real-time monitoring of weather conditions. The standard sensor package includes 6 weather parameters: wind speed and direction, temperature and relative humidity, barometric pressure, and precipitation, (additional optional sensors can be added), a 5-foot tripod and vertical mast for sensor mounting, and a data logger with LCD display are included. The software to gather and display the measurements from the instruments on the Z-5000 and 6000 is also included.

Z-4000 & Z-3000 Character Generators

The Z-4000 and Z-3000 are the original Texscan character generators.  They have been discontinued and repairs ceased due to unavailability of parts to service these units. The Z-5000 is more than an adequate replacement unit for the Z-3000 and the Z-6000 is a much superior unit to the Z-4000.
